Halloween 2026 in Minsk: pumpkin candle workshop
Halloween in Minsk isn't just for bars and horror movie nights anymore. More people are looking for a creative way to mark it, something beyond a costume and a plastic pumpkin on the windowsill.
At MAKA Art studio there's a ready-made option: a candle making workshop where the mold collection includes an actual pumpkin.
Why a workshop beats store-bought decor
Store pumpkin candles tend to look the same: plastic shell, paraffin wax, a sharp synthetic smell. A workshop gives you something different.
- A candle you shape yourself, not one bought an hour before the party.
- Real soy wax instead of paraffin: it burns cleaner and longer, without soot.
- A scent you build yourself from more than 30 premium oils.
- A reason to get friends together instead of ordering decor online.
The candle stays in your home as part of the Halloween decor, instead of going in the bin on November 1st.
How the "Pumpkin Candle" session works
The candle workshop at MAKA Art runs its usual format, with one twist: you can pick the pumpkin mold from the collection instead of a standard one.
The session follows four steps.
- Choosing a scent. The studio's artist helps you pick a blend, from warm vanilla and cedar to sharp fig, well suited to an autumn mood.
- Melting the wax. The studio uses 100% natural soy wax, eco-friendly and safe.
- Pouring into the pumpkin mold and decorating. You can finish the candle with dried flowers.
- Setting and packaging. The wax sets quickly, so you take the candle home the same day.
The workshop runs about 3 hours, participants must be 14 or older, and a group of up to 16 people fits comfortably. Browse the pumpkin mold and the rest of the collection on the candle mold collection page, then book on the candle making workshop page.
Planning a Halloween party? The workshop can come to you
If you need pumpkins for a whole group rather than just yourself, you don't have to come to the studio. MAKA Art also runs painting, gypsum, candle, and fluid art sessions on site: at a home, an office, or a rented venue.
For candles this works especially well. Guests pour wax into pumpkin molds right at the party and leave with a finished Halloween souvenir. The artist brings all the materials, including the molds and the scent oils. The studio travels around Minsk and the Minsk region, with an extra travel fee outside the city.
Check current terms and pricing for the mobile format on the on-site workshops page.
