Kids' Master Classes: Developing Creativity from an Early Age
Modern children are born with a phone in their hands. This is a given. But the virtual world does not provide the tactile experience that is critically important for brain development. How can you return a child to reality? Offer them to create something with their own hands.
The Science of the Benefits of Creativity
Vasily Sukhomlinsky wrote: "The mind of a child is at the tips of their fingers." And neuroscientists agree with him.
- Fine motor skills: Working with small details (beads for candles, mosaics, modeling) stimulates the brain's speech centers.
- Spatial thinking: When a child sculpts from gypsum, they learn to understand volume and shape.
- Emotional intelligence: Through color, a child expresses what they cannot say in words. This is the best prevention of children's tantrums.
Our Programs (7+)
In MAKA Art, we do not teach "how to do it right". We teach not to be afraid to try.
1. Creation of Gel Candles "Aquarium"
Kids love working with transparent gel. Inside the candle, you can create a whole world: shells, colored sand, fish. It is safe and very exciting.
2. Fluid Art (for young experimenters)
Mixing paints in a cup, pouring them out, and watching how everything spreads... it's pure delight. No rules, just color!
3. Gypsum Items (Harry Potter style)
Pour a "magic potion" (gypsum) into a mold, wait until it turns into a stone, and paint it. Kids feel like real alchemists.
Child's Birthday
By the way, a children's party in an art studio is a salvation for parents. The children are busy for 1.5-2 hours, they are under the supervision of a master, their eyes are shining. And parents can quietly drink coffee or join the fun. Each guest takes their gift home, so no one leaves offended. Read more in our article about birthdays.
Safety is our priority
It is important for parents to know:
- All materials are certified and safe for children
- Gypsum is a hypoallergenic, non-toxic material
- Acrylic paints are water-based and easily wash off
- The master is always nearby and controls the process
- Aprons and protective gloves are provided
Age Guide: What suits your child?
- 5-6 years old: Painting (simple techniques, bright colors, maximum freedom)
- 7-9 years old: Gypsum (pouring into molds, painting... kids love the "magic of transformation")
- 10-12 years old: Fluid Art (more complex technique, but a WOW result)
- 13+ years old: Adult master classes... teenagers feel "grown-up" and responsible
What do parents say?
